« براى امور واقع نشده به آنچه واقع شده است استدلال نما و با مطالعۀ قضایاى تحقّق یافته، حوادث یافت نشده را پیش بینى کن؛ زیرا امور جهان، همانند یک‌دیگرند، از آن اشخاص نباش که موعظه سودش ندهد، مگر توأم با آزار و رنج باشد؛ زیرا انسان عاقل باید از راه آموزش و فکر، پند بپذیرد، این بهائم هستند که جز با کتک، فرمان نمی‌برند.»
